About this job
Job Description
- Create and capture engaging social media content to promote Annual Fund initiatives,
campaigns, and giving opportunities
- Assist with the planning and execution of annual giving campaigns and other
fundraising initiatives
- Support digital and in-person outreach efforts designed to engage alumni, donors,
students, faculty, staff, and campus community members
- Assist with creating promotional materials and communications for Annual Fund
programs and events
- Participate in interactive and informational tabling events throughout campus to
promote fundraising initiatives and connect with students
- Help coordinate and prepare materials for campus-wide fundraising events and
activities
- Process and organize Annual Fund mailings and other campaign materials
- Gain hands-on experience with nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement, marketing,
communications, and social media strategy
- Collaborate with the Annual Fund team on creative projects and special initiatives
throughout the academic year
- Assist with tracking campaign materials, outreach efforts, and other administrative tasks
that support Annual Fund operations
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements:- SUNY Oswego student
- Creative, enthusiastic, and willing to bring new ideas to the team
- Outgoing and comfortable interacting with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and campus
community members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in social media, marketing, public relations, fundraising, or communications
- Comfortable creating content for social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, responsible, and able to meet deadlines
- Comfortable participating in campus events, tabling, and other outreach activities
- Willingness to learn and take on new projects and responsibilities
- Previous experience with social media, marketing, communications, customer service,
or event planning is a plus, but not required
