Job Description
We're seeking a CNC Machinist and Programmer who excels at solving complex, one-off challenges. If you thrive on programming multi-axis boring mills, optimizing toolpaths, and producing precision custom components rather than running repetitive production, this role is for you. You'll combine hands-on machining expertise with programming proficiency to deliver high-quality results on large, challenging components.\
Where Complex Problems Meet Continuous GrowthEvery part you machine, every program you optimize, and every challenge you solve makes you sharper. We're looking for someone who doesn't just clock in; you're here to master your craft, tackle diverse technical problems, and build something meaningful.
What You'll Do- Set up and operate CNC Horizontal or Vertical Boring Mills to precision specifications
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam CAD/CAM software for boring and multi-axis milling operations
- Perform precision milling and boring on large custom components with high accuracy and repeatability
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
- Determine optimal tooling, workholding, and machine setups for each unique part
- Make program edits and machine adjustments to improve efficiency, accuracy, and part quality
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maintain productivity and quality
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and engineering specifications
- Follow all safety and quality standards while meeting production deadlines
- Proven experience operating CNC Horizontal or Vertical Boring Mills
- Strong proficiency with Mastercam CAD/CAM software (creating, editing, and optimizing programs for boring and milling)
- Experience with G-code and/or M-code programming and interpretation for CNC machine control
- Solid setup experience machining large, custom, or low-volume components
- Ability to perform boring and multi-axis milling operations on custom, fabricated, and heavy components
- Experience with CNC program troubleshooting and toolpath optimization
- Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills
- Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM OR 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Optional Saturday hours: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Overtime paid at 1.5x regular hourly rate)
- $30–$40/hour (based on experience and skill level)
- Health Insurance: PPO plan with employer covering 50% of employee premiums; dependent coverage available at shared cost
- Dental Insurance: Optional coverage available; employee-paid
- Vision Insurance: Vision plan available
- Two weeks of paid vacation annually
- Annual holiday bonus based on company performance
- Employer-funded profit-sharing plan with 100% company contribution
- 401(k) plan available after one year of employment
- Tuition reimbursement for job-related education and professional development
- Employee discounts through payroll provider
Submit your resume with details about your CNC boring mill experience, Mastercam proficiency, and examples of complex custom work you've programmed and machined.
