Infusion Intake Specialist

Overview:
We’re looking for a detail oriented and proactive Intake Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for new referrals and will ensure the smooth coordination of intake processes for infusion services within our pharmacy. You’ll work closely with physicians’ offices, insurance providers, and internal team members to keep everything moving efficiently with accuracy, clear communication, and a customer-first approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Submit new patient referrals promptly and accurately including re-verification of benefits on existing patients.
• Patient prior Authorization Renewals
• Process and submit authorizations through PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Manager) benefits.
• Communicate thoroughly and professionally with physician offices, patients, and team members to ensure seamless coordination.
• Contact patients to complete intake for infusion services. This includes collecting patient data i.e. demographics, financials, insurance information, etc.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all intake activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure all requirements are met prior to service initiation.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or medical office administration preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with PBM systems and insurance authorization processes is a plus.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician
