About this job
Job Description
We need an experienced senior care/home care scheduler.
Do you love solving puzzles? We need your brain.
Every day at our long established home care company, dozens of caregivers and clients have to line up perfectly — the right caregiver, with the right client, at the right time. When a caregiver calls off at 6 a.m., someone has to calmly find the missing piece and make the day work. That someone could be you.
We're a non-medical home care agency in Cincinnati helping seniors and adults stay safe and independent in their own homes. We're hiring a Scheduler who's organized, level-headed, and genuinely enjoys the daily challenge of fitting all the pieces together.
You don't need a medical background. If you're dependable, a great communicator, and the kind of person who feels satisfied when a tricky schedule finally clicks into place, you'll do great here.
What you'll do
- Build and manage daily/weekly schedules, matching caregivers to clients based on availability, location, and fit
- Fill open and call-off shifts quickly — making calls, coordinating swaps, and thinking on your feet to keep every client covered
- Be the friendly point of contact between caregivers, clients, and families
- Update schedules in our software and keep accurate records of changes and care notes
- Share rotating on-call duty with the team to handle after-hours scheduling needs (call-offs, last-minute changes, new client intakes)
- Must be a determined problem solver.
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — you like keeping a lot of moving parts in order
- Calm, clear communicator who's comfortable on the phone
- Comfortable with computers and scheduling software (Excel/Word a plus; we'll train you on our system)
- Willing to participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule
- Reliable transportation and a clean background check (required for home care)
- Preferred: prior scheduling, dispatch, staffing, or home care/healthcare experience — but we're happy to train the right person who has the right attitude
Why you'll like working here
- Competitive pay: $20–$22/hour, based on experience
- Full-time stability with consistent weekday hours
- On-call duty is shared and rotated every other week
- Meaningful work: you directly help families keep their loved ones cared for
- Supportive team that has your back
- Two weeks vacation, sick time, 401k with match, United Healthcare Health Insurance, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, Disability, Quarterly Bonuses, robust on call pay, and more!
Ready to put the pieces together?
