Job Description
About Haven Home Remodeling
Haven Home Remodeling is a growing, family-owned residential construction company serving homeowners throughout Southern California. We specialize in residential remodeling, additions, ADUs, roofing, and other home improvement projects.
We are looking for an experienced Construction Production Manager to take ownership of our projects from sales handoff through final completion. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands residential construction, can manage multiple projects and trades at once, communicates well with homeowners, and knows how to keep projects organized and moving forward.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day production management of Haven Home Remodeling's active projects, including pre-construction planning, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, materials, homeowner communication, permits and inspections, change orders, quality control, problem-solving, and project closeout.
We're looking for someone who takes ownership, thinks ahead, and can independently manage production rather than waiting to be told what needs to happen next.
Key Responsibilities
- Review contracts, estimates, plans, selections, and project documentation before construction begins.
- Identify missing information, scope discrepancies, material needs, homeowner decisions, and potential project risks before they cause delays.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and construction sequencing.
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, crews, vendors, materials, and deliveries.
- Ensure trades have the plans, materials, information, and access needed to complete their work.
- Serve as the primary production contact for homeowners and provide clear project updates throughout construction.
- Coordinate permits, inspections, corrections, and required project documentation.
- Identify out-of-scope work and coordinate written change orders before additional work proceeds.
- Monitor project quality, conduct milestone/site reviews, and coordinate corrections with crews and subcontractors.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day production issues and make practical decisions to keep projects moving.
- Manage punch lists, final inspections, warranties, documentation, and project closeout.
- Maintain accurate project information within the company's project-management systems.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Previous residential construction project or production management experience.
- Strong understanding of residential remodeling and construction sequencing.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple active projects.
- Ability to read construction plans, scopes, estimates, and contracts.
- Strong scheduling, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Professional and confident communication with homeowners and subcontractors.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to visit active Southern California jobsites.
- Comfortable using project-management software and digital documentation.
Preferred:
- Experience with whole-house remodels, additions, ADUs, kitchens, bathrooms, and/or roofing.
- Experience with permits and residential construction inspections.
- Working knowledge of framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, drywall, tile, cabinetry, flooring, painting, and finish trades.
- Experience managing change orders and concealed conditions.
- AccuLynx or similar construction-management software experience.
60-Day Introductory Period
The position begins with a 60-day introductory period to evaluate mutual fit and performance.
During this period, we will evaluate the Production Manager's construction knowledge, organization, project management, communication, problem-solving, follow-through, and ability to independently take ownership of assigned projects.
Schedule & Work Environment
This is a full-time, primarily in-person and field-based position. The Production Manager will work from our Temecula office and visit active jobsites throughout Southern California as needed.
Construction occasionally requires communication or problem-solving outside standard office hours.
If you're an experienced residential construction professional ready to take ownership of production and grow with our company, we'd like to hear from you!
