Medical Receptionist – ENT Physician Office
Savannah, GA | Full-Time | In-Person
Join Our Practice
A busy Ear, Nose & Throat physician practice in Savannah, Georgia is seeking an experienced, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Receptionist.
Our receptionist is often the first person a patient speaks with and the first person they see when entering our office. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of providing excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality.
This is an active front-office position requiring frequent telephone communication, patient scheduling, payment collection, data entry, and coordination with clinical staff.
Responsibilities
The Medical Receptionist will:
- Greet patients warmly and professionally and help create a patient-friendly environment.
- Answer a high volume of telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
- Schedule new and established patient appointments accurately.
- Retrieve referrals from the fax system and contact patients to schedule appointments.
- Accurately enter and update patient demographics and insurance information.
- Collect copayments, deductibles, outstanding balances, and other amounts due at the time of service.
- Accurately post patient payments and provide receipts.
- Balance payments and front-office transactions daily.
- Scan referrals, insurance information, medical records, and other patient documentation into the EMR.
- Receive hospital consultation information and promptly communicate the necessary information to the physician and appropriate staff.
- Direct telephone calls and patient messages to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Assist patients with appointment and scheduling questions.
- Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Work closely with physicians, clinical staff, billing staff, and other team members.
- Maintain an organized and professional reception area.
- Perform additional front-office responsibilities as needed.

- Are willing to work extended hours when necessary to meet patient and practice needs.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- 1+ year of medical receptionist, medical front-office, or similar healthcare experience.
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or practice management system.
- Experience scheduling medical appointments.
- Experience collecting copays, deductibles, and patient balances.
- Familiarity with medical insurance and referrals.
- ENT or specialty medical practice experience is a plus.
Schedule
Full-Time – In Person
Monday through Friday. Applicants must have some flexibility to remain beyond regularly scheduled hours when necessary for patient care or practice operations.
This is not a remote or work-from-home position.
