Job Description
Mariposa is looking for an experienced Landscape Foreman to lead field crews and oversee landscape construction and installation projects from start to finish. In this role, you will be the on-site leader responsible for quality, safety, scheduling, and client satisfaction. Job Duties
- Lead and direct a full landscape crew on daily job sites, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget
- Oversee all landscape installation functions, including irrigation, drainage, and horticulture
- Read and interpret blueprints, landscape plans, and elevations
- Program irrigation controllers and read elevations; apply DataLink and Dig Alert procedures
- Install low-voltage wiring, irrigation systems, and hardscape features
- Operate and safely use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Manage job site materials, equipment scheduling, and vendor/subcontractor coordination
- Complete administrative duties, including crew time cards, equipment inventory, order requests, and punch lists
- Enforce job site safety standards, lead by example with PPE usage, and conduct safety inspections
- Provide exceptional service to clients, subcontractors, and company staff
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional landscape construction and crew management experience
- Strong knowledge of landscape installation, irrigation systems, hardscape, and low-voltage lighting
- Ability to read blueprints, landscape plans, and elevations
- Experience leading a field crew and managing multiple job site priorities
- Valid California Class C driver's license (required)
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of safe work practices, PPE requirements, and OSHA compliance
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
