FOOD SERVICE WAREHOUSE WORKER
Frisco, TX | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• Pay:$17.50/hour (weekly pay)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM CST
• Employment Type: W2 | Temp
ROLE IMPACT
This role ensures timely and accurate distribution of food, materials, and equipment supporting Child Nutrition Programs. The position safeguards inventory through effective warehousing, compliance with food safety standards, and efficient service to campus operations.
KEY DUTIES
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments; process discrepancy and damage reports as needed.
• Store, rotate, and distribute food and supplies in compliance with USDA storage and HACCP guidelines.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and delivery vehicles equipped with lift gates to move inventory safely.
• Maintain accurate inventory logs, temperature records, and computerized stock tracking.
• Support warehouse layout planning, vendor coordination, and corrective actions for damaged or expired goods.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Food Handler Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to start date.
- 3 years of warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in cold storage environments.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT
- Criminal background check.
- Complete fingerprinting analysis.
- Possess a current Food Handler Certificate or be willing to obtain one before starting employment.
- Complete all required pre-employment onboarding and training prior to the start date.
EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and computer-based inventory systems
• Frequent standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Work includes exposure to cold/freezer temperatures, damp conditions, and moving equipment
• Required uniform: steel-toed non-slip shoes, jeans, solid-color polo or sweatshirt (for freezer work)
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google applications, and inventory software
• Experience maintaining HACCP compliance records
