About the Role:
1st Response Occupational Health is looking for a skilled PRN EMT or Paramedic to provide on-site medical support at an active construction site in San Antonio, TX. This is a dynamic opportunity to put your emergency medical skills to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your expertise truly makes a difference. If you thrive outside of the traditional ambulance setting and want to be the frontline of worker safety, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency and non-emergency medical care to construction site workers
- Perform patient assessments, triage, and treatment for injuries and illnesses on-site
- Administer first aid, wound care, and basic life support (BLS) as needed
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient care reports and medical documentation
- Coordinate with local EMS and hospital systems for patient transport when necessary
- Conduct site safety monitoring and support occupational health protocols
- Maintain and inventory medical equipment and supplies at the job site
- Correlate with 1st Response Occupational Providers
Requirements:
- Current EMT-Basic or Paramedic certification in the state of Texas
- Valid CPR/BLS certification required
- Prior occupational health, industrial, or construction site medical experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions in the field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse workforce populations
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather and construction site conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with a PRN (as-needed) schedule
