Fabrication Associate

Our client, manufacturing and fabrication industry is seeking a Fabrication Associate to join their team. As a Fabrication Associate, you will be part of the production support team, contributing to efficient pipe fabrication and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Fabrication Associate

Location: Groveport, OH

Pay Range: $19

Shift: 6am-230pm (could be until 4:30pm some days)

What's the Job?

• Move loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard, ensuring safe handling and organization.
• Assemble pipe orders, including single sticks or bundles, maintaining organized work supplies.
• Follow safety precautions during fabrication, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping of pipe.
• Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and company procedures.
• Set up and maintain machines for pipe fabrication, including measuring, cutting, threading, and beveling pipes.

What's Needed?

• 6-8 months of recent experience with machinery such as pipe threaders, band saws, roll groove machines, plasma cutting, automatic welding machines, and pneumatic banders.
• Ability to use and understand tape measures and gauges for quality checks.
• Mechanical background with experience in fabricating and handling pipe ranging from ½ to 10 inches.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong math skills for calculating product quantities and measurements.
