CT Technologist – Travel Job Posting

Specialty: CT Technologist
Shift: Variable 8-hour shifts
Schedule: 5x8 hours/week
Weekend: Friday & Saturday nights
Additional Schedule: 3 alternate days, variable based on staffing needs

Shift Options

• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Float: May float to Alta Bates Summit Campus in Oakland as needed.

Required Certifications

• ARRT – CT
• CRT
• RH/F – Radiology Fluoroscopy
• Venipuncture Certification

Experience

• 2+ years of experience required unless otherwise specified
• CT experience required
• Travel experience not specifically required
• Previous charge experience not specified

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized CT examinations
• Operate stationary and mobile CT equipment
• Perform CT procedures independently and safely
• Assist physicians with CT-guided/invasive procedures
• Educate patients about procedures, contrast and medications
• Administer and document contrast media/medications as permitted
• Perform patient assessment and monitoring
• Follow ALARA radiation safety standards
• Clean, disinfect, inspect and perform QC on equipment
• Maintain patient privacy and HIPAA/PHI compliance
• Complete patient documentation, screening and consent forms
• Work with EHR, RIS and related systems
• Maintain supplies and inventory
• Help orient and mentor new technologists/students

Sutter Submission Requirements

• Local candidates accepted at local rate
• 50-mile radius rule applies
• 2 professional references from the past year
• Accurate 7-year work history
• Former manager information required for previous Sutter/Alta Bates staff
• Any background/licensure issues must be disclosed with supporting documentation
• Certifications must be current and valid
• Certifications must be AHA or ARC where applicable

RTO & Holiday Rules

• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• Only 1 holiday RTO request allowed
• Holiday RTO applies to:
  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
• Holiday period runs 7:00 PM the night before through 7:00 AM the day after
