Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Days shift outpatient/rehabilitation opportunity in Atascadero, CA, requiring at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting
- Days shift schedule, preferred as 4x9's & 1x4
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Current, active PT license in the state of practice required if applicable
- Degree in Physical Therapy required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- EMR proficiency required for completing evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers and mobility
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods during 8-10 hour workdays
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
- Supervises PT Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care
- Coordinates with physicians and office staff to ensure quality patient care and scheduling
- Maintains accurate patient chart documentation, including prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
- Familiarity with PT billing policies including Medicare, work-comp, private, auto, liens, and cash pay preferred
- Proficiency in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes preferred
- Adheres to HIPAA and patient privacy policies
- Open to first-time travelers
