Job Position: Lead Set Up Swiss Machinist
Location: Ontario, CA 91761
Pay Rate: $30.00+/hr
Shift: 1st, 5am-3:30pm, 4-ten work schedule
Description:
CNC Swiss Setup & Machining
Independently set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes.
Perform complete machine setups including tooling, guide bushings, collets, bar feeders, workholding, offsets, and machine accessories.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
Verify tooling and setup requirements before beginning machine setups.
Establish and adjust tool offsets, work offsets, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters.
Perform first-piece inspections and make necessary machine adjustments to produce conforming parts.
Maintain dimensional and geometric tolerances throughout production.
Safely prove out new or revised CNC programs.
Support machining of complex, tight-tolerance components.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of CNC machining experience, with significant experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-type machines.
