About the Role:
Orange Park Foot Solutions LLC is looking for a skilled and compassionate Pedorthist to join our dedicated team in Orange Park, FL. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives by providing expert footwear and orthotic solutions that improve mobility and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' foot conditions and assess biomechanical needs to recommend appropriate footwear and orthotic devices
- Design, fabricate, fit, and modify custom foot orthotics and therapeutic footwear
- Collaborate with physicians, podiatrists, and other healthcare providers to develop comprehensive patient care plans
- Educate patients on proper footwear selection, orthotic use, and foot care best practices
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation
- Stay current with industry trends, new products, and advancements in pedorthic care
- Manage inventory of footwear, orthotic materials, and related supplies
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Pedorthics (C.Ped) required or eligibility to obtain certification
- Experience in fitting and fabricating custom foot orthotics and therapeutic footwear
- Knowledge of foot pathologies, biomechanics, and diabetic foot care
- Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Experience with insurance billing and coding for durable medical equipment (DME) is a plus
