Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 3+ years of experience and current California CRT license for a cardiac interventional radiology cath lab with structural heart capabilities.
Details
- Interventional cardiac cath lab with structural heart program
- 3 procedure rooms with an average daily census of 15
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Call required, 3 call shifts within a 2-week period
- Weekend call required approximately every 6 weeks
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of cath lab experience required
- California CRT license required in hand at time of consideration
- ACLS, ARRT(R), BLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit required
- RCIS certification preferred
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in procedures including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, right and left heart catheterization, temporary and permanent pacemaker insertion
- Experience with TAVR and Watchman procedures preferred
- Skilled in venous access, central line care and maintenance, and vascular closure systems
- Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and provide accurate hemodynamic monitoring
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, room circulating, and maintaining sterile fields during procedures
- Scrubs provided
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Candidates must be able to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the health system
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at applicable bill rate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
