Handyman

Summary: The Maintenance Handyman oversees general building maintenance, performing light troubleshooting and major repairs as needed. Responsibilities include maintaining electrical and plumbing systems and ensuring cleanliness throughout the building’s various departments.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 05:00 AM to 04:00 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 05:00 AM to 03:00 PM

Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $22 to $25 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $55,000 and $71,800 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex building maintenance repairs.
• Conduct plumbing repairs as needed.
• Complete carpentry and plastering tasks.
• Paint, remodel, and repair facility flooring.
• Execute installations and demolitions as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Complete equipment checklists and perform preventative maintenance.
• Perform additional duties as required or requested.

Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Three (3) years of maintenance experience required.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment required.
• Experience in electrical and plumbing work required; technical certification is a plus.
• Previous forklift and warehouse experience preferred.
• Basic computer or tablet proficiency is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to travel as needed.
