Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2070 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to read and interpret telemetry.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: - Cares for MST and PCU patients. - Common surgical cases include total hip and knee replacements, small bowel resection, hysterectomy, and exploratory lap. - Common medical and telemetry patients include MRSA, C. diff infections, suicide attempts, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, COVID, and chest pain. - May be asked to precept nursing students. - Cares for stable CPAP or BiPAP patients. - Uses remote monitor techs; RNs read their own telemetry strips. - NAs take 10-15 patients; if no NA, the RN takes 3 patients and provides primary care.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend; Friday and Saturday for nights. - Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly. - Low-census standby rotates; travelers may or may not be included depending on contract.

Floating Requirements: - First to float. - May float to the Multi Care Unit and Pediatric unit to care for adult MST patients, and to West Campus Med Surg Tele.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
