Special Education Teacher - Chicago, Illinois

Position Details:

• Full-time, on-site position
• Monday to Friday, 7:50 a.m. – 3:10 p.m.
• Work directly with a caseload of 10-12 students
• Serve elementary grades 3 through 5
• Opportunity for contract renewal for the following school year

Qualifications:

• Hold a Master's or Doctoral Degree in Special Education
• Possess active Illinois state licensure for Special Education
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other teachers, administrators, and parents
• Passion for fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment
• Open to both experienced professionals and enthusiastic new graduates

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to students’ needs
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as appropriate
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
• Contribute to the school’s positive culture of learning and support
