Infusion Pharmacy Technician
Location: Marietta, GA – Onsite
Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST
Hours: 24 hours per week
Pay: $20.00/hour
Interview: 1 in-person interview
Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infusion Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations in an onsite infusion pharmacy setting. This role will assist with prescription processing, order fulfillment, supply management, shipment preparation, and communication with patients, pharmacists, and provider offices.
The technician will work closely with a team of 3 staff pharmacists, 7 senior pharmacy technicians, and the Director of Pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Pack pharmacy orders for shipment.
- Pick infusion supplies based on patient delivery tickets.
- Receive and organize medication and supply orders.
- Order pharmacy and infusion supplies as needed.
- Enter prescriptions and verify accurate information in the EMR system, including CRP+.
- Process and pick prescriptions from completed work orders.
- Verify correct lot numbers and expiration dates.
- Contact patients, pharmacists, and physician offices to resolve prescription or claims-related issues.
- Provide accurate information and help resolve customer concerns.
- Maintain accuracy and compliance throughout the prescription fulfillment process.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospital, or infusion pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- Pharmacy Technician registration/licensure as required.
- PTCB certification preferred.
- Proficiency with computers and Windows-based applications.
- Ability to learn new and complex pharmacy systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Dependable, accountable, and able to work independently.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
