CMA - Family Medicine & Pediatrics | Days | High Pay + Benefits

This permanent Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) position at Newport Health Center in New Hampshire offers an opportunity to support both family medicine and pediatric care within a well-established facility. The role is designed for a dedicated professional with certified medical assistant credentials and pediatric experience, working primarily day shifts with competitive pay and benefits.

Schedule: Days, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 40 hrs/week

Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Take and document vital signs
• Assist providers with exams and treatments
• Administer injections and perform basic diagnostic tests
• Collect and process laboratory specimens; perform blood draws
• Schedule appointments and procedures
• Handle patient phone calls and escalate clinical concerns as needed
• Register new patients and maintain medical records
• Assist with insurance forms and billing
• Prepare patients for procedures and maintain examination rooms and clinical equipment
• Sterilize, disinfect, wrap, and autoclave instruments following aseptic and infection-control procedures
• Provide dedicated support for pediatric patients

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Hold one of the following credentials:
• • CMA – AAMA
  • RMA – AMT
  • CCMA plus 12-month Dartmouth-Hitchcock apprenticeship
• Pediatric experience clearly documented on resume
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Pay

• $21.19–$32.85/hour
