Testing & Failure Analysis Technician

General Purpose:

Perform verification, retest functionally and preliminary analysis of defective parts from Customer Data Center.

Principle Accountabilities:

1.     Strong commitment to follow up the daily target and new requirements.

2.     Visual inspection of defective parts following IPC A610-F criteria.

3.     Reassembly and disassembly of parts in test fixtures.

4.     Set up L10 test fixtures in L11 rack system.

5.     Run L10/L11 test program.

6.     Segregate and identify pass and fail parts after visual inspection or retest.

7.     If necessary, perform solder rework following IPC 7711/7721 standard.

Education / Experience

Requires completion of any Electronic related course, experience in Servers or Compute Hardware.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Motherboard analysis and repair, Basic Understanding of Computer Hardware, Basic understanding of computer Networking, Knowledge of Linux Operating System.

Proficiency in computer. Ability to run basic computer software, run commands, etc.

With minimum 20/20 vision

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) – IPC A610-F, IPC 7711/7721 (to be trained)

Scope / Impact

Influence the recovery of “No Defect” parts and speed up the analysis of “Real Defect” parts.

Decision Making / Discretion

Give disposition based on defined criteria and SOP.
