Financial Analyst II - Healthcare Finance

We are seeking a Financial Analyst II to support financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis for assigned healthcare entities. This role will work closely with department and service-line leaders to analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations that support business decisions.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay: $68,390.40/year

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, financial statements, and management reports.
• Perform monthly actual-to-budget and variance analysis and identify trends or areas requiring attention.
• Support annual operating budget preparation and work with department leaders on budget planning.
• Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations and post journal entries.
• Perform grant-related financial activities, including revenue/expense analysis, accounting, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Research financial discrepancies and work with appropriate teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare complex financial analyses and present findings to service-line and organizational leaders.
• Serve as a key resource for finance-related questions and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Assist with month-end close activities and special financial projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of related financial analysis experience; 5–7 years strongly preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial data analysis
• Experience with budget preparation and analysis
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with managers and senior leadership
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare or hospital finance experience
• Experience with Epic or Workday
• CPA preferred
• PowerPoint experience for financial reporting and presentations
