Imaging Support Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Imaging Support Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be actively involved in the entire case workflow, demonstrating strong vascular and interventional radiology experience, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and manage inventory, ordering cases in EPIC prior to procedures.
- Operate and control imaging equipment during procedures.
- Perform 3D imaging and engage with fusion technology.
- Participate actively in the procedure room, including filming and post-processing images.
- Utilize HI-IQ for documenting and adding inventory used during cases.
- Collaborate closely with vascular surgeons, the operating room team, and other procedural team members.
- Support simple surgical cases during downtime using a C-arm alongside the X-ray staff, including procedures such as Impellas and cystos.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Active Virginia licensure or eligibility for temporary licensure.
- Strong experience in vascular and interventional radiology procedures.
- Familiarity with Hybrid OR procedures.
This position requires a commitment to an 8-hour day shift from 07:30 to 16:00, with rotating on-call duties every fourth week. Candidates must be aware of a 50-mile radius rule for commuting purposes.
