Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day and Night Shifts Available (6:30 AM–6:30 PM / 6:30 PM–6:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU setting with an average daily census of 16, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2–3
  • Manage and titrate a variety of drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications
  • Assess, monitor, and document cardiac telemetry strips using GE monitoring equipment, with tele tech oversight support
  • Care for a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, overdose/substance abuse, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress, post-stent, pacemaker placement, and vascular cases
  • Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation
  • Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed, maintaining comparable patient ratios (1:4 or 1:5)
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current NIHSS certification
  • Ability to pass a unit-specific open-book skills examination with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
  • Compliance with facility infection control policies, including prohibition of artificial nails in all patient care areas
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior ICU nursing experience with exposure to high-acuity diagnoses such as sepsis, stroke, cardiac events, and respiratory failure
  • Experience titrating cardiac drips, insulin drips, and sedation in a critical care environment
  • Familiarity with GE telemetry monitoring systems and ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythms
