Travel Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | No Call Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed General Medicine unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments using Barcode Medication Administration (BCMA) protocols
• Communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Float to other units within the acute care division as needed
• Adhere to facility dress code standards, including navy blue scrubs and compliant footwear and nail guidelines per TJC and CMS requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Proficiency with BCMA and Cerner
• Strong time management and interdisciplinary communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR
• Background in General Medicine patient populations
• Demonstrated adaptability and commitment to standardized care processes
