Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend, every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Manage patients with diagnoses including respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis
• Document and coordinate care using Epic electronic health records (experience required)
• Float within scope of practice as needed per facility float policy
• Participate in specialty-specific orientation modules as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• Epic electronic health records experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• References required
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and management of cardiac and complex medical patients
