Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Step-Down (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 13 Weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Step-Down unit setting
• Manage a patient assignment at a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level cardiac and medical monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Adhere to facility protocols, dress code (royal blue scrubs), and unit-specific procedures

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (must be current)
• ACLS certification (must be current)
• PALS certification (must be current or obtainable within the first 3 weeks of assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Step-Down or equivalent RN experience
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Step-Down setting
• Familiarity with intermediate cardiac monitoring and telemetry
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
