Job Title
RN - Emergency Room
LocationClearlake, CA
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and reassessments on pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients per policy
- Maintain accurate and thorough nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessment of changes
- Monitor hemodynamic status of patients and correctly interpret results
- Prepare, administer, monitor, and discontinue IV fluids; maintain current knowledge of medications and correct administration based on patient age and clinical condition
- Demonstrate the ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise, and professional manner
- Maintain all competencies, licensure, certifications, and education requirements as outlined by regulatory agencies including TJC and CMS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- At least one year of Registered Nurse experience within the last 24 months and acute critical care experience within the last 12 months; or EMT/ED Tech with a minimum of 2 years of experience in good standing
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of California
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to meet physical demands including frequent bending, standing, walking, and occasional lifting/transferring of patients; must demonstrate a pull/lift of 50 pounds from the floor
- Emergency Room and/or ICU experience preferred, as some floating between units may be required
- MICN certification (desired to be completed within one year of placement)
- NRP, TNCC, and CEN certifications encouraged and recommended
- Opportunity to work in a dynamic Emergency Department environment serving a diverse patient population across all age groups
- Contract role offering consistent scheduling with a set 36-hour weekly commitment
