Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Cardiac ICU with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1–1:2
• Care for patients with complex cardiac and mixed ICU diagnoses, including those recovering from open heart surgery
• Operate and monitor patients on ventilators and GE telemetry monitoring systems using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with in-house Hospitalists (24/7), Respiratory Therapy (24/7), and Pharmacy (24/7) to coordinate patient care
• Participate in self-scheduling (approximately 6 weeks in advance, subject to manager review and approval)
• Float to telemetry or med-surg units as needed; complete a proctored, pass/fail Dysrhythmia Test on day one of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in California
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Recent, hands-on experience with fresh post-operative open heart surgery patients
• Experience with mixed ICU patient populations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Experience with GE telemetry monitoring systems
• Familiarity with ventilator management in a cardiac or critical care setting
