Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for an ongoing locum tenens role supporting a high-volume, Level II trauma center in Harlingen, Texas. This facility provides broad emergency care within a modern setting, featuring cross credentialing at multiple regional facilities and comprehensive specialty resources. Candidates must hold an active Texas medical license, board certification or eligibility in emergency medicine, and an active DEA registration.

Opportunity Highlights

• Location: Harlingen, Texas
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens
• Setting: Level II trauma center with approximately 49,500 annual patient encounters
• Shifts include: 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. (24-hour shifts)
• NPPA coverage: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
• Cross credentialing at multiple facilities in the region

Clinical Scope

• Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of emergency patients
• Management of broad emergency department referrals
• Procedures within emergency medicine scope
• Documentation and order management within Cerner EMR
• Collaboration with inpatient teams and specialty consults

Requirements

• Active Texas medical license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or ABOEM)
• Active DEA registration in Texas
• ATLS and PALS certifications
