About the Role:
Jackson Hewitt is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tax School Instructor to join our team on location, Troy, Ohio, Anderson, Indina, Indianapolis, Indiana, Richmond, Indiana, Clute, TX and Columbus, TX! Are you an experienced teacher with tax knowledge, this is the job for you! Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, structured tax education courses to students of varying experience levels
• Teach core tax concepts including federal and state income tax preparation, deductions, and credits
• Facilitate classroom discussions, exercises, and hands-on tax return practice
• Evaluate student progress through assessments, quizzes, and feedback
• Maintain an organized and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning
• Stay current on IRS tax laws, regulations, and updates to ensure accurate instruction
• Collaborate with management to align curriculum with Jackson Hewitt standards and training materials

Requirements:

• 3 year Prior experience in tax preparation and teaching.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and income tax preparation
• Previous teaching, training, or instructional experience preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to break down complex tax concepts into clear, understandable lessons
• Proficiency with tax software and basic computer applications
• Patient, motivating, and student-focused demeanor
• 6 week course, 6.5 teaching hours per week in office
