Assignment: Locum Tenens
Schedule: 4-day work week | Day shift | No weekends
Our client is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary care in a structured clinical environment in Galveston, Texas.
This opportunity is ideal for a provider who values work-life balance, enjoys delivering quality patient care, and is comfortable managing a broad range of acute and chronic medical needs. You'll work alongside an experienced healthcare team while providing evaluations, treatment, education, and ongoing care management.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions
- Provide same-day patient evaluations and sick-call coverage
- Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Provide medication, disease-management, and preventive-care education
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in NextGen EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team
- Support continuity of care and positive patient outcomes
- 4 days per week
- Day shift
- No weekends
- Standard holiday schedule
- Consistent, structured clinical environment
A travel stipend may be available for providers traveling more than 50 miles from their primary residence.
Qualifications- Master's degree or higher
- Active Nurse Practitioner license/certification
- FNP, AGNP, or NP certification
- 1+ year of Primary Care experience
- 1+ year of Care Management experience
- 1+ year of experience in a qualifying healthcare setting
- Valid DEA certification/license
- Current BLS or ACLS certification through an accepted provider
