Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) - Urgent Care

Location: Chula Vista, CA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Saturdays only, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM (8 hours per week). Must be available for a full week of training, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Hours per Week: 8

Candidate Pay Rate: $55.26 - $38.68 per hour

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection from patients of all ages
• Verify patient identities and ensure proper labeling of specimens
• Use medical terminology to accurately document and process lab orders
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following infection control protocols
• Provide compassionate care and clear communication to patients
• Collaborate with urgent care team to ensure efficient patient flow

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Current California State Phlebotomy Licensure
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
• 1-2 years of medical laboratory experience as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (preferred)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Proficient in medical terminology

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Phlebotomy techniques and best practices
• Medical terminology and laboratory processes
• California State Phlebotomy regulations
• CPR certification
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent patient communication skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
