Sales Associate

Pointer’s Ace Hardware is looking for friendly, dependable, and hardworking individuals to join our team as Sales Associates. We are a locally owned hardware store focused on providing knowledgeable service and a great experience for every customer who walks through our doors.

Prior retail or trade experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person. At Pointer’s Ace Hardware, we value character, integrity, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic just as much as previous experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Help customers locate products and find solutions for their projects
• Answer phones and assist with customer questions
• Stock merchandise and keep shelves organized
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized sales floor
• Assist with pulling and loading customer orders
• Learn about our products and services to better assist customers
• Work as part of a team to provide an excellent customer experience

• Retail, hardware, construction, mechanical, lawn & garden, or other trade experience is a plus, but not required

Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 16 years or older

Preferred qualifications:

• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Able to stand for duration of shift
• Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs
• 2-3 years of total work experience
