Travel Physical Therapist – Outpatient (Days)

Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to determine the physical and cognitive status of outpatients, considering diagnosis and age-specific needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, incorporating patient and family participation as appropriate.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation including initial evaluations, daily and weekly progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required notations.
- Participate in patient care conferences, family conferences, in-service programs, and interdepartmental meetings; provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
- Assist with coordination and supervision of Physical Therapy Assistant student programs, Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, and Volunteers.
- Support departmental operations including Performance Improvement activities, productivity standards, scheduling, and orientation of new staff.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure required.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy experience.
- Proficiency with all modalities and equipment used by a Physical Therapist as outlined by the applicable state examining council.
- Experience in an outpatient Physical Therapy setting.
- Familiarity with supervising Physical Therapy Assistants or student clinical programs.
- Experience participating in Performance Improvement or program development initiatives.
- Gain valuable travel therapy experience in a structured outpatient environment with no on-call or weekend requirements.
- Work within a collaborative, patient-centered department that supports professional development and community engagement.
