Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient acute care physical therapy services to an adult and geriatric population, including orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary diagnoses
• Participate in early mobility programs, including vent early mobility (Level 2), and support JCAHO-certified Stroke and Total Joint Program (elective hips and knees) initiatives
• Float between inpatient and outpatient settings as needed; outpatient center is located approximately 2.5 miles from the main facility
• Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, residents, telemedicine intensivists, wound care therapists, and therapy aides
• Weekend coverage may be required; PT travelers have worked 10-hour split schedules (Wednesday–Saturday and Sunday–Wednesday)

Required Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist (PT) license
• BLS certification required
• Experience in inpatient acute care settings
• Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient populations across a variety of diagnoses

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ventilator patients and early mobility protocols
• Familiarity with stroke rehabilitation and total joint replacement programs
• Experience with wound care in an inpatient setting
• Prior experience using Cerner EMR
