Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary team in a cross-functional role supporting Radiology, Cardiac Rehabilitation, and Diabetes/Inpatient Education. This position is designed for a versatile nursing professional who thrives in a diverse clinical environment, splitting their time between specialized procedural care, cardiac outpatient programs, and comprehensive inpatient disease management.



Key Responsibilities

  • Radiology & Interventional Procedures: Provide dedicated nursing care for Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures and advanced diagnostic imaging. Manage pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care for high-acuity diagnostic tests, including the new Cardiac CTA program, which requires extended, comprehensive nursing surveillance and management (typically 2+ hours per procedure).
  • Inpatient Education & Care Transitions: Lead inpatient teaching and survival-skills training for patients diagnosed with chronic conditions, specifically COPD, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and Diabetes. Ensure patients and their families understand medication adherence, symptom management, and lifestyle modifications prior to discharge to reduce readmission rates.
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation & Stress Testing: Support the outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation program and clinical stress testing services. Monitor patient vitals, telemetry, and clinical responses during exercise therapy and diagnostic testing, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for cardiac recovery.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Education:  Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • License: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON  Registered Nurse must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider
  • Experience:  One year hospital nursing experience
