Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (4x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 27-bed General Medicine unit serving a variety of disease processes across Respiratory, Endocrine, Cardiac, Immune/Infectious Disease, and Renal systems
• Accurately document all patient care activities and clinical findings using Epic EMR
• Float to other units within scope of practice as needed per facility float policy
• Work a minimum of 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required by facility policy
• Participate in unit orientation including completion of specialty-specific modules

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Must adhere to facility float policy; travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted per facility mileage rule)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred but not required
• BSN preferred
• Experience in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing
