Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend required | Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays | Block scheduling not available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 27-bed General Medicine unit serving a variety of disease processes including Respiratory, Endocrine, Cardiac, Immune/Infectious Disease, and Renal conditions
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for assigned patients throughout the night shift
• Accurately document all patient care activities and clinical findings using Epic EMR
• Float to other units within scope of practice as needed in accordance with facility float policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred but not required
• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing
