Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Time Study Analyst for a three-month project focused on evaluating production processes, establishing labor standards, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

This position will work directly within the operation to observe and measure the time required to complete specific tasks and processes. The Time Study Analyst will collect and analyze data using stopwatches, video recordings, employee interviews, and other time-study methods to identify bottlenecks, evaluate workflow, and develop recommendations for process improvement.

Project Length: 3 Months.
Completion Bonus: $1,000, paid the Friday following successful completion of the full project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed time and motion studies of production and operational processes.
  • Observe employees performing assigned tasks and accurately document process steps and cycle times.
  • Collect time-study data using stopwatches, video recordings, direct observation, and employee interviews.
  • Analyze cycle times, workflow, utilization, delays, and other operational data.
  • Establish and recommend appropriate labor and production standards based on collected data.
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, unnecessary movement, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles when evaluating existing processes.
  • Organize and analyze large sets of observational data using Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Prepare reports, charts, findings, and recommendations based on completed studies.
  • Translate technical data into clear, actionable recommendations for operational leadership.
  • Collaborate with production employees, supervisors, engineers, and management throughout the study process.
  • Communicate findings professionally while building positive working relationships with employees being observed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure consistency throughout all time studies.
