As an Emergency Room RN, you will provide rapid assessment and nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency and acute medical conditions.
Responsibilities may include:
Perform rapid assessments and triage patients based on acuity
Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients
Monitor and recognize changes in patient condition
Administer medications, IV therapy and emergency treatments
Assist with trauma, cardiac, respiratory and other emergency situations
Respond to codes and other critical patient events
Collaborate closely with emergency physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Provide patient and family education
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Follow hospital infection-control, safety and emergency-care protocols
Active Arizona RN license or Compact RN license
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Current PALS certification preferred/required based on facility requirements
Recent Emergency Department / ER nursing experience
Strong emergency assessment, triage and critical-thinking skills
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity situations
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
