Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT CT certification in hand and 2+ years of CT experience.
Details
- Level I Trauma teaching hospital with high-complexity cases
- All Siemens CT scanners used throughout department
- Outpatient and inpatient work settings
- Night shift, 4x10 hours, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, typically Monday-Thursday
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirement
- Will float within scope to meet facility needs, but not to sister facilities
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- ARRT CT certification required in hand at time of consideration
- BLS required
- License required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of CT Tech experience required
- Level I Trauma or large hospital setting experience preferred
- Siemens scanner experience preferred
- Experience required with PACS and contrast administration
- CT procedure experience required in abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Preferred experience with aspirations/biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, and transplant studies
- Preferred skills include IV starts, portables, and biopsies
- Preferred experience in Level I/II Trauma, teaching hospital, community hospital, and adult ICU settings
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging procedures across abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
- Prepare and administer contrast media following radiation safety and isolation precaution protocols
- Facility scrub colors include black, red, or white
- First-time travelers accepted for this role
- No more than 7 days RTO permitted within the 13-week contract, and no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
- Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius; local candidates not accepted
- Returning permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
- Standard travelers may stay up to 18 months with a required 3-month break in service afterward
