Location: Allentown, PA (18106)
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract (W2)
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8-hour workday with a 30-minute lunch
Start Time: May begin as early as 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, depending on business needs
Latest Shift End: Approximately 6:00 PM

Role Overview:

BEPC is urgently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to support our client’s warehouse and material handling operations in Allentown, PA. This position is ideal for a dependable, safety-focused professional with 5+ years of hands-on sit-down and stand-up forklift experience. The Forklift Operator will safely move, load, unload, select, stage, and store materials while supporting shipping, receiving, inventory, and general warehouse operations. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining excellent attendance, and performing physical warehouse duties throughout an eight-hour shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate powered industrial equipment, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks.
• Load and unload trailers and trucks containing raw materials, finished goods, and waste products.
• Select orders and put away inbound materials in designated inventory locations.
• Move, stack, stage, and store products and materials, including placement within high-racking systems.
• Pack orders and prepare materials for shipment as needed.
• Unpack incoming materials and prepare them for placement into inventory.
• Perform and document daily pre-operation equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Use RF/handheld scanners to accurately track and document product and material movement.
• Maintain manual inventory logs and records when required.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris or safety hazards.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, operational guidelines, and workplace policies.
• Maintain exemplary attendance and consistent adherence to the assigned work schedule.
• Perform additional warehouse duties and tasks as assigned.
  

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of sit-down and stand-up forklift experience required.
• Demonstrated experience safely operating powered industrial trucks and warehouse material-handling equipment.
• Experience using RF scanners, pallet jacks, order-selecting carts, packing equipment, tape machines, and various cutting instruments.
• Basic ability to operate computers, printers, and other workplace equipment. 
• Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and inventory handling procedures.
• Dependable attendance and ability to consistently meet scheduled work hours.
• Ability to remain on your feet for an eight-hour shift and perform physical activities including standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, twisting, crouching, and occasionally crawling.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier materials with assistance.
• Ability to perform work requiring close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
