Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Framing Carpenter to join our team for residential remodeling projects. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on framing experience and can confidently perform demolition, layout, structural framing, and modifications to existing structures.
This position requires someone who can work independently, read plans, take accurate measurements, and produce quality work while maintaining a clean and safe jobsite.
Responsibilities
-Perform wood framing for residential remodel projects
-Frame walls, partitions, ceilings, floors, and roof structures
-Modify existing framing to accommodate remodel designs
-Perform structural framing and repairs as required
-Read and interpret construction plans and framing details
-Measure, lay out, cut, and install framing materials accurately
-Install headers, beams, blocking, backing, and other structural components
-Complete framing around doors, windows, stairs, and other openings
-Perform selective demolition and prepare areas for new construction
-Identify potential structural issues and communicate them to the project supervisor
-Work with other trades to coordinate framing and project requirements
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
-Follow all applicable safety procedures and construction standards
-Ensure completed work meets project specifications and quality expectations
Qualifications
-3+ years of residential framing experience preferred
-Strong knowledge of wood framing techniques and residential construction
-Ability to read and understand construction plans
-Ability to accurately measure and lay out framing
-Experience working on remodels and modifying existing structures
-Proficient with standard carpentry tools
-Strong understanding of building practices and jobsite safety
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
-Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
-Ability to work productively in an active residential construction environment
