Brief Description

The Maintenance Technician will ensure efficient and dependable operation of machinery and equipment. Troubleshoots repairs and performs preventative maintenance on plant equipment, machines, systems and facilities. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Improves and modifies equipment and systems to optimize production efficiency, productivity and quality.
  • Assists with Tool and die development and run off - plumbing and pipefitting production and prototype dies.
  • Installs new equipment to specifications as directed.
  • Ensures operation of repaired or new equipment by using customer requirements, manufacturer's instructions and technical knowledge.
  • Documents actions by completing work orders and maintenance logs.
  • Understands and actively complies with all safety requirements and policies and practices. Maintains safe and clean working environment.

Education and Professional Experience

  •  High school diploma or equivalent required and formal technical training and/or experience in industrial/equipment maintenance
  • At least five (5+) years of maintenance experience required
  • Press repair and hydraulic troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Experience in the stamping press industry
  • Experience should include: troubleshooting, electronic testing, problem solving, production repairs, equipment maintenance and installation, pipefitting, welding, PLC’s, CNC benders, Laser equipment, automated welding equipment, fabrication and machine shop equipment use
  • High level of aptitude in a broad range of maintenance fields with a working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical and electronic systems

  • Fluent in English with advanced reading and writing skills
  • German Language skills would be a plus
  • Visa holders/English as Second Language (ESL) individuals must take TOEFL exam and score above passing grade.
