Overview
Our amazing apartment community in Dallas, TX is looking for a skilled and talented Maintenance/Make Ready Technician to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring residential units are prepared for new occupants! This position requires a blend of mechanical knowledge, facilities maintenance skills, and a commitment to customer service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of performing various tasks to ensure that properties are in excellent condition.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of residential units to identify maintenance needs and repairs.
  • Perform facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC system checks.
  • Execute residential painting and touch-up work to enhance the appearance of units.
  • Fabricate or repair fixtures and fittings as necessary to meet quality standards.
  • Utilize logic controllers and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for tracking maintenance tasks and inventory management.
  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and work areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results.


Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in all areas of maintenance
  • Multi-Family Property Maintenance experience required
  • HVAC/EPA Certification required
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish) - able to speak and write English/Spanish
  • Strong experience in facilities maintenance, renovations and rehabs preferred
  • Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and teams
  • Experience with work orders and turns
  • Experience in residential painting techniques is a plus
  • Ability to fabricate components as needed for repairs or improvements
  • Leadership qualities that foster teamwork and collaboration within the Maintenance Team
  • Proficient in reading schematics for troubleshooting purposes
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail
