Contingency Route Delivery Driver

Job Overview

We are looking for reliable, experienced delivery drivers for ongoing contingency routes operating out of our Carlisle, PA terminal.

This is a great opportunity for experienced drivers looking for consistent route work, strong daily pay, and long-term lodging provided near the terminal.

The current contract is expected to continue through the New Year, providing an opportunity for drivers who want dependable work over the coming months.

Compensation

• $300 per day base pay

• Additional $2 for every completed stop over 100 stops

• Ongoing route opportunity through the New Year

• Consistent contingency route work

Long-Term Lodging Provided

Traveling to Carlisle for this opportunity?

Long-term lodging with kitchenettes is provided for qualifying drivers.

• Approximately 10 minutes from the terminal

• Kitchenette included

• Convenient option for drivers traveling from outside the Carlisle area

What You'll Do

• Complete assigned contingency delivery routes

• Safely operate the assigned delivery vehicle

• Deliver packages accurately and efficiently

• Complete scheduled stops throughout the route

• Follow all applicable safety and traffic regulations

• Provide professional customer service at delivery locations

• Maintain accurate delivery records

• Communicate with dispatch regarding route issues or delivery concerns

• Complete vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues as needed

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of current FedEx delivery driving experience preferred

• Valid driver's license

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

• Safe and responsible driving history

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

• Ability to safely and efficiently complete a high volume of deliveries

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to work independently while following assigned routes and procedures
