Mountain West Windows & Doors is committed to developing future sales professionals. This position provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced Trade Sales Representatives and receive coaching and mentorship from senior sales professionals. Employees who demonstrate strong performance, product knowledge, customer service, and sales aptitude may be considered for advancement to a Trade Sales Representative position as business needs and opportunities arise.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer, verify, and submit accurate product orders by working with Sales Consultants and customers while applying knowledge of Marvin products, systems, and procedures.
- Prepare product quotations and proposals by interpreting blueprints, sizing rough openings, and utilizing company software systems.
- Review contracts and proposals to ensure products are accurately specified, ordered, manufactured, and delivered.
- Assist with lead follow-up, customer inquiries, service requests, change orders, and order processing.
- Support showroom operations by assisting walk-in and phone customers, demonstrating products, and educating customers on Marvin product offerings.
- Read and interpret blueprints to perform basic material take-offs and product sizing.
- Utilize company software to prepare quotes, enter orders, and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Travel locally to customer job sites and other business locations to verify field measurements, assess job conditions, coordinate deliveries, and support project execution.
- Represent Mountain West Windows & Doors in customer, builder, contractor, and internal meetings as assigned to discuss project requirements, scheduling, field conditions, and product solutions.
- Build and maintain professional relationships through responsive communication, proactive problem-solving, and exceptional customer service.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support departmental goals.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with showroom events and other company-sponsored activities as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Employees must become proficient in the Marvin product line and related products, systems, and processes necessary to perform the duties of the position.
This position requires local travel as an essential job function. Employees must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, maintain a motor vehicle record that meets company insurance requirements, and be able to travel using a personal or company vehicle as needed to perform assigned duties.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Two or more years of customer service, sales support, or general business experience preferred. Knowledge of general construction practices, terminology, and/or window and door products and applications is preferred, or the ability to quickly learn through company-provided training.
Computer Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Salesforce software applications.
Expected to develop proficiency in Marvin proprietary software (OMS, MOS, Marvin Online, etc.).
Language & Communication Skills
Strong verbal and written English communication skills required. Ability to read, interpret, and explain documents such as blueprints, product specifications, warranty information, and business correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and managers through in-person, phone, and email interactions while maintaining professional customer service standards.
Professional Skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing multiple priorities.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with attention to detail. Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, follow projects through completion, resolve issues professionally, and maintain effective working relationships with customers and team members. Must maintain a professional appearance consistent with company dress code and safety requirements. Commitment to continuous learning and timely follow-up.
Attendance & Availability
This position requires regular and dependable attendance during normal business hours. Employees are expected to perform their duties primarily from the office unless conducting approved company business at customer locations, job sites, supplier facilities, project meetings, or other work-related activities.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic business math, including calculations involving money, measurements, percentages, proportions, and dimensions. Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry as required for estimating and project-related calculations.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers to operate office equipment, and communicate by phone or in person. Frequent reaching, talking, and hearing are required. Occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment with a moderate noise level.
Employees may occasionally enter warehouse areas and travel locally to customer job sites, builder offices, supplier locations, and other business locations to support estimating, measurements, customer meetings, service coordination, and project management.
