Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Daytime Janitorial Porter to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of our car dealership. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, and understands the importance of maintaining a professional, welcoming environment for both customers and employees.

This is a part-time position with the possibility of transitioning to full-time based on performance, attendance, reliability, and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the dealership, including showrooms, offices, restrooms, customer areas, and common spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas
• Clean and restock restrooms as needed
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the facility
• Keep entrances, walkways, and customer areas neat and presentable
• Clean windows, glass doors, and other surfaces as needed
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness throughout the day
• Assist with light cleaning and general facility maintenance tasks
• Help maintain a professional appearance of the dealership for customers and staff
• Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning products and equipment
• Report maintenance issues, spills, damage, or other concerns to management
• Perform other janitorial and porter duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, custodial, porter, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required
• Reliable and punctual with a strong attendance record
• Ability to work independently and stay on task
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and employees
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical cleaning duties throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment as needed
• Must be dependable, trustworthy, and professional
• Must successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment
