Accounts Payable Clerk

Leading manufacturer of hardscape materials in Brighton, MI is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to fill a long-term

temporary opening.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks
• Distributes signed checks as required
• Answers all vendor inquiries
• Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and accounts payable files
• Assists Controller and division personnel as necessary
• Prepares cleared checks for storage
• Assists in monthly closings
• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required
• Performs filing and coping
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment
• Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
